Audrey McCraw, LCSW

Chief Executive Officer

Serving as the Executive Director of The Tristesse Grief Center since 2019, Audrey is a seasoned professional with a rich background in social work and healthcare leadership. She spent the first fifteen years of her career in mental health practice settings. Her leadership career began in the hospice sector, where she spent ten years serving in executive leadership roles. Her experience in hospice care underscores her commitment to guiding individuals through some of life’s most difficult moments. In her capacity as the Executive Director, Audrey collaborates closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the center’s strategic direction, sustainability, and the delivery of high-quality programs and services.

Clifton Baker, CFRE

Director of Development

Clifton is a certified fundraiser with experience in nonprofit arts and social service settings. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Alabama and has worked at Tulsa Ballet, Tulsa CASA, Theatre Tuscaloosa (Alabama), The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa, Lake Dillon Theatre Company (Colorado), and Lanesboro Arts (Minnesota). Clifton is currently President of the Eastern Oklahoma Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He is a former aspiring actor and competitive public speaker.

Madi Day, LMSW

Director of Community Services

Madi Day is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She is a recent graduate of OU-Tulsa’s Master of Social Work program and holds a graduate certificate in Social Work with American Indians. Madi is dedicated to supporting children and families through their grief journey. As a grief counselor, Madi provides compassionate counseling for individuals and families, facilitates therapy groups for adults and families, and engages the community through The Grief Center’s outreach services. Madi enjoys incorporating expressive arts techniques into counseling. Outside of The Grief Center, Madi enjoys art and spending time with her seven nieces and nephews.

Susan Miller, LCSW

Grief Counselor

Susan is the most senior employee at The Grief Center, having worked here since 2009. She has been in the social work field for over 30 years and has held director positions at Ascension St. John and Hospice of Green Country, to name a few. At The Grief Center, she works with adults in both individual and group therapy settings, and presents multiple CEU trainings throughout the year. Susan also clinically supervises interns and social workers in candidacy.

Emilie McCartney Smith, LPC

Grief Counselor

Emilie has a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Marylhurst University, and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College. She has worked in community mental health and had a private practice. She learned Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from its developer, Dr. Marsha Linehan, and has run DBT programs in various agencies and has trained multiple clinicians in its use. At The Grief Center, she works with adults and older teens in both individual and group therapy, and presents multiple CEU trainings throughout the year.

Richard Modenbach, LCSW

Grief Counselor

Richard holds a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Physiology from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. He has been employed in social work since 1972. Richard has held positions such as District Supervisor in Child Welfare while at the Department of Human Services and therapist on the behavioral unit at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. At The Grief Center he works with adults, individually and in groups.

Ginny Perkins, LPC

Grief Counselor

Ginny Ryan Perkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has two master’s degrees: one in Counseling Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma and a second in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. Ginny did her clinical internship at St. John’s Medical Center’s inpatient behavioral health unit. She also worked for 12 & 12, a residential treatment center. Ginny is not a new face to the Tristesse Grief Center. She previously worked here from February 2009 to June 2011 and then again from July 2012 to December 2014. Ginny also worked for a local pastoral counseling center and is certified in pastoral counseling, which is the integration of one’s faith or spirituality with psychological interventions. In addition, she is trained in EMDR, a type of trauma therapy, and is a member of the EMDR International Association. For the past 11 years, Ginny has been in private practice. In her spare time, Ginny enjoys swimming, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Rochelle Guinn

Grief Support Specialist

As the Grief Support Specialist for The Grief Center, Rochelle is involved with supporting the staff and clients in various processes, such as facilitating and co-facilitating psychoeducational groups and general administration. Rochelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music, an Associate degree in Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and is currently in the Master of Social Work program. Outside of work and school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and her many dogs and cats.

Ben Lakavage

Strategic Communications Coordinator

Ben is this year’s Tulsa Service Year Fellow for The Grief Center. He recently graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Master of International Affairs and holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and anthropology. Previously, he owned and operated his own marketing firm in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and worked with Global Health Strategies, a New York-based communications firm specializing in worldwide health initiatives. In his free time, Ben enjoys hiking, reading, and participating in Tulsa’s board gaming community.

Shelley Cadamy

Counseling Intern

Following a 25-year career in economic development, Shelley launched a consulting practice in 2019. After realizing she was providing a lot of mental health advice in her business consulting, she began the Master of Social Work program at Tulane University. She is a clinical intern and looks forward to learning from those around her. Outside of work, she is a foster/adoptive parent to three now-adult children and guardian to her oldest granddaughter. She loves discovering well-priced antiques in the wild and is married to absolutely the only man for her.

Priscilla Powell

Counseling Intern

Priscilla is a master’s student at Oral Roberts University, currently studying Professional Counseling. She was born in England and moved to the States in 2020 to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, graduating in 2024. She works with children and has a passion for working alongside individuals on their journey to self-discovery, healing, and wholeness. She is currently interning at The Grief Center and will graduate in the spring of 2027.

Kelci Stansbury

Counseling Intern

Kelci is a clinical social work intern pursuing graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma. She comes to grief work through both personal and professional pathways, shaped by a decade in elementary education and with an expressive arts background. She centers human connection and emotional well-being at the heart of her practice. Outside of school and work, Kelci finds grounding in the handmade and slow: crocheting, trying new recipes, and spending evenings stargazing and watching science fiction shows with her pup, Frank.
