Founded in 2002, The Tristesse Grief Center was born out of the the vision of 14-year-old Tristesse “Tess” Gonsalves. Facing her death after six years with cancer, she was concerned concerned with how to ensure those she left behind would live whole, healthy lives. On the second anniversary of her death, her mother Laura and several passionate community volunteers opened The Grief Center’s doors. Today, we are Northeast Oklahoma’s only dedicated grief center, providing grief counseling and support for thousands in need.

The Healing Hearts Gala is our only major fundraiser, providing over 20% of our annual budget. We invite you to join us for this signature celebration of hope and healing in Tulsa.
